WHO OR WHAT IS THE IIB?
The Institute is an international non-profit organisation that has assisted thousands of small & mid-sized businesses in Australia and worldwide.
WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?
Our first task will be to assess, with you, what, if any, support you need. We will then be in a position to provide you with details of the investment required and the returns that you will gain.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE MEETING?
Our first meeting is very much a fact-finding tour. We would like to find out what your company does, how it does it, the challenges that you face and your plans for the future.
At the same time we will be able to explain in more detail how the IIB works and what services you could employ to help you meet the challenges that you face.
WE ALREADY USE CONSULTANTS?
At the IIB we pride ourselves on our hands on, action centred, approach to helping clients. Rather than preparing reports which you then have to action. It would be interesting to see how our approach compares to your current advisors.
BAD EXPERIENCE IN THE PAST
All advisors have to undergo a rigid selection and training programme before they can be accredited by the Institute. Once accredited advisors are bound by the Institute’s code of ethics.
WE DON’T NEED HELP
Being the Managing Director of a business these days’ means that you have to be able to be a jack of all trades when it comes to the day to day running of a business.
Where we can help is to look at the business from the outside, make recommendations and take action where necessary to identify and deal with those unknown problems that occur from time to time.
WHAT CAN I DO IF I HAVE NO BUDGET?
We understand how you feel about the lack of budget. Many of the businesses we help felt the same; the budget issue is one that comes up regularly.
However after a meeting with us you may well identify areas in which we could help to save money and increase profit levels just as they did.
WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN DO A BETTER JOB?
Let us say right away that it is not our intention or role to do a better job. It is our task to see if we can complement and add to the work that you are already doing. We will take an honest and objective look at your business and see if we can identify areas in which we can help you develop and improve
WHAT WILL YOU HAVE TO SHOW ME?
The purpose of the meeting isn’t to take you through a presentation or show you a series of product related brochures. Instead we frame the meeting around a brief explanation of the IIB and a detailed discussion about your business and your challenges, aims and objectives.
NOTHING IS FOR FREE, WHAT'S THE CATCH?
There is no catch. We am prepared to give you two hours of our time to help you through a review of your business and to discuss in a confidential and unbiased way the issues and business challenges that you face. The only cost involved initially is your commitment to a meeting lasting around two hours.
If at the end of the meeting we can provide further assistance then we will outline for you what that is and what it might cost.
I HAVE AN ACCOUNTANT /ATTORNEY WHO GIVES ME ALL THE ADVICE I NEED
That’s great; it is certainly useful to have someone who can give advice when needed however we find that (Accountants, Attorneys etc) will naturally have a slight bias to telling you what you want to hear! At the IIB we pride ourselves on giving practical advice that works. Many of the Managing Directors we work with finds that this offers an unbiased alternative to their existing advisors.
